A Global Journey of Solidarity in Education

Originally from Brittany, France, Eloi embarked on his ESCP adventure in 2021, drawn by the promise of an international experience and the program’s focus on innovation in the management field. The BSc took him across three countries and their bustling cities – Paris, Torino, and London – providing the academic and professional enrichment he was looking for. In Eloi’s words, “These years have been a profound source of fulfilment, offering not just academic and professional enrichment but a genuine human connection with fellow students from diverse corners of the globe.” This multicultural dimension fueled Eloi’s desire to contribute to the community that had become a second home.

Eloi’s initiative to ascend Mont Blanc, raising €10,000 for financially constrained ESCP students, exemplifies how ESCP’s commitment to social responsibility and global awareness is fruitfully passed down to its students. In an insightful interview, he shared how the project resonates with these values. It is not just about addressing educational inequality; it’s about fostering empathy and collective progress within the ESCP community. As Eloi reflects, “Reaching this mythical summit was not just about conquering a peak; it was a personal elevation for a greater cause.”

Designing a Strategic Approach to Fundraising

Eloi’s strategic approach in connecting with over a hundred companies for his fundraising project not only collected substantial funds but also showcased the practical skills cultivated during his management education. The ESCP Bachelor in Management (BSc) is designed to hone not just technical expertise but also soft skills crucial for effective leadership. Eloi’s success in approaching companies, negotiating with passion, and defending his project with structured arguments resonates with the principles instilled during his BSc journey.

In Eloi’s words, “After two years of constant personal growth at ESCP, I wanted to make this experience accessible to everyone – a desire to rise up for others.” This spirit, coupled with the skills acquired through his management education, allowed Eloi to navigate the complexities of fundraising successfully. The trust garnered from seven supporting companies is not just a financial endorsement but a testament to the faith they had in his vision.

Moreover, engaging with over a hundred companies showcased his perseverance and solidified a network of support within the ESCP community.

Eloi’s climb transformed from a personal endeavour into a shared mission, bound by the collective faith and trust of everyone involved. Looking ahead, Eloi envisions applying these lessons not just academically but professionally, too. His toolkit of skills and a mindset honed on the slopes of Mont Blanc promise to influence his approach to future challenges and opportunities, marking a lasting legacy of solidarity within ESCP Business School.
